Numerical Simulations and Experimental Validation on LBW Bead Profiles of Ti-6Al-4V Alloy

چکیده

The lightweight titanium alloys possess good resistance to corrosion and temperature. They are used in turbine engines aircraft structures. strength of weld joint is dependent on thermal history the zone bead geometry. quality can be improved by specifying optimal welding parameters. Trial-and-error experimental methods time-consuming expensive. This paper deals with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models carry out three-dimensional thermo-fluid analysis. Buoyancy Marnangoni stress incorporated. Temperature properties Ti-6Al-4V alloy process conditions specified for generating profile. CFD model validated initially through comparison existing test data. Further studies made conducting tests pulsating laser alloy. effects speed, pulse width frequency geometry examined. study confirms adequacy modeling simulations results.
